Join us for the live recording of AiDP Episode 5: 2020 Dreams
Ever wondered what goes into making a born-digital book? Join us for the live recording of episode five of Adventures in Digital Publishing with the team behind 2020 Dreams (Stanford UP, 2023).
Adventures in Digital Publishing is a collaborative web series showcasing innovation in scholarly publishing. Together with AUPresses, Brown University Digital Publications and the American Council of Learned Societies, we curate conversations with the scholars and publishers bringing digital projects to life.
Following episodes on Furnace and Fugue (a multimedia digital edition), i used to love to dream (a peer-reviewed rap album), .supDigital (Stanford University Press's imprint for born-digital monographs) and Secret Feminist Agenda (a peer-reviewed podcast), we're delighted to spotlight the team behind 2020 Dreams.
This interactive project from scholars Maja Gutman Mušič and Kelly Bulkeley weaves together data from dream journals, surveys, and news media to show how the cataclysmic events of the year 2020 were reflected in our collective dreamscape. Joining the authors for this episode are software developer Gez Quinn and editor Jasmine Mulliken. The conversation will be led by guest moderator Philip Leventhal, an executive editor at Columbia University Press. Attendees who join the live recording on February 28 at 12 noon Eastern will have the opportunity to ask the panelists questions.
