Deboleena Roy

Dr. Deboleena Roy is Vice Dean of Faculty, Divisional Dean of Sciences, and Professor of Neuroscience and Behavioral Biology (NBB) and Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies (WGSS). She has served as the Mellon grant's principal investigator since 2022 and is overseeing the program's transition into Emory College of Arts and Sciences.

Steph Iasiello

Dr. Steph Iasiello is an Associate Program Director in the Office of Faculty and manages the day-to-day operations of the DPH initiative.

Mae Velloso-Lyons

Dr. Mae Velloso-Lyons is Associate Director of the Fox Center for Humanistic Inquiry. She managed the DPH program from January 2023 to January 2025 and continues to advise faculty on open monograph projects, especially those with digital enhancements.

Karl-Mary Akre

Karl-Mary Akre is Communications and Outreach Coordinator at the Fox Center for Humanistic Inquiry and leads the organization of public programming for DPH-supported books.

Yang Li

Yang Li is a Senior Software Engineer at the Emory Center for Digital Scholarship and the lead developer on all enhanced digital monograph projects supported by the DPH initiative.

Former Team Members

Michael Elliott

Dr. Michael Elliott, former Dean of Emory College of Arts and Sciences and current President of Amherst College, served as the grant’s principal investigator from 2014 to 2022.

Sarah McKee

Sarah McKee was Senior Associate Director of Publishing at the Fox Center for Humanistic Inquiry from 2017 to 2022. She now manages higher education publishing initiatives at the American Council of Learned Societies.
